Some teeth can be saved. Others can't — and waiting only makes it worse.
From simple removals to surgical and wisdom tooth cases, we match the approach to your comfort and clinical need.
For teeth that are visible above the gumline and can be loosened and removed in a single visit. Typically performed under local anesthesia with minimal downtime.
For teeth that are broken at the gumline, impacted, or not fully erupted. Requires a small incision and may involve removing bone or sectioning the tooth for safe removal.
The most common extraction procedure at our practice. Wisdom teeth often become impacted due to limited jaw space, leading to pain, infection, gum disease, or crowding. Early removal prevents long-term complications — especially important for teens and young adults.
For severely decayed or fractured teeth that cannot be saved. We offer same-day appointments and work quickly to relieve pain and protect your oral health.

We get you out of pain fast and set you up for a healthy smile long after the appointment is over.
Most patients recover comfortably within a few days. We'll walk you through aftercare before you leave.
Your dentist reviews your dental and medical history, takes digital X-rays, and examines the tooth. Together, you'll confirm whether extraction is the right course of action or if a root canal or crown could save the tooth.
We administer local anesthesia to fully numb the area. If you've chosen sedation (nitrous oxide, oral conscious, or IV), it's given at this stage so you're completely relaxed before we begin.
For simple extractions, the tooth is gently loosened with a dental elevator and removed with forceps. For surgical or impacted cases, a small incision is made, the tooth is carefully sectioned if needed, and the socket is thoroughly cleaned.
Gauze is placed over the extraction site to control bleeding. In some cases, dissolvable stitches are used to close the site and promote healing.
Before you leave, your dentist walks you through detailed aftercare: what to eat, what to avoid, how to manage swelling, and when to call us.
We schedule a follow-up to confirm healing. If you've lost a permanent tooth, we discuss replacement options (dental implants, bridges, or dentures) so your smile stays complete and functional.
No. We fully numb the area before we begin — you may feel pressure or movement, but no pain. Nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation are also available for anxious patients.
Simple extractions take 20–40 minutes. Surgical or wisdom tooth removals may take 45–90 minutes depending on complexity.
Most patients recover in 2–3 days for simple extractions. Surgical cases may take 5–7 days. Some swelling and mild soreness in the first 24 hours is completely normal.
Soft foods for the first 48 hours: yogurt, mashed potatoes, smoothies, and soup. Avoid hard or crunchy foods and do not use a straw, as suction can cause dry socket.
It's when the blood clot at the extraction site dislodges before healing, exposing bone and nerves. Avoid straws, smoking, and forceful spitting for the first few days to prevent it.
Not for wisdom teeth. For any other permanent tooth, yes, to prevent shifting, bone loss, and bite changes. We offer implants, bridges, and dentures as replacement options.
